5 Months of Revelation 9
Purpose: we are here to unite the brothers and sisters under the pure doctrine that falls like dew, as in Deut. 32:2, the words of Moses and the Prophets. There’s five supplemental Shepherd’s Chapel studies to support these steps under the resources menu option.
“This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:” - 2 Peter 3:1-2
Our first goal is establish common ground. The Shepherd’s Chapel has certain doctrines that are common to all Chapel Students. We are going to go STEP BY STEP through this doctrine that Pastor Arnold Murray founded with his teachings and show how the time of satan as antichrist (his role on Earth) was shortened.
STEP ONE:
understanding the original 7 years period.
So first let’s establish how long the seven years is, in months and days.
CHART OF 7 YEARS WITH MONTHS AND DAYS
Please note the 7 years is divided into two 3 1/2 year periods, which can be 42 months, or 1260 days each.
With this step all Shepherd’s Chapel Students agree that 7 years is divided into:
TWO 3 1/2 year periods, OR
TWO 42 MONTH PERIODS, OR
TWO 1260 day periods (as in Daniel’s days).
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of THE WEEK he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” (Daniel 9:27, KJV 1900)
STEP TWO:
DANIEL’S FIGURE OF SPEECH
With this step all Shepherd’s Chapel Students agree the phrase describes 3 1/2 years.
This original timeline was described by Daniel twice in a figure of speech:
“Time, times, and a half of time”
Daniel 7:25 (KJV)
“…and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
Daniel 12:7 (KJV)
“…it shall be for a time, times, and an half…”
1 time = 1 year
2 times = 2 years
1/2 time = 1/2 year
Total 3 1/2 years
WHAT DOES THIS PHRASE MEAN NUMERICALLY? 3 1/2 YEARS ORIGINALLY. see video:
step three:
this phrase of “time, times, and a half of time” of 3 1/2 years is pointing to the second half.
“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
The phrase “time, times, and half time” belongs to the SECOND HALF of the 7 years period.
The book of Daniel ascribes the 2nd half of the 7 years to satan/antichrist.
For clarification the 7 years is shortened to 5 months, and the last half of the 5 months (2.5 months) is when satan and the dragon are here de facto.
“And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.”
STEP four:
7 years shortened to 5 months
With this step all Shepherd’s Chapel Students agree that 7 years is shortened to 5 months.
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:21–22, KJV 1900)
The 7 years was shortened to 5 months. To this all Shepherd's Chapel students agree.
STEP five:
the 5 months is split in half into two 2.5 mth periods
These three verses show that there is a SPLIT in the last hour of temptation, where HALF is 2 1/2 months and the other HALF is 2 1/2 months.
“And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.” (Revelation 9:5, KJV 1900)
“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.” (Revelation 17:12, KJV 1900)
“And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.” (Revelation 8:1, KJV 1900)
With this all Shepherd’s Chapel students agree.
STEP six:
3 WOE Trumps of the 5 months

“And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!” (Revelation 8:13, KJV 1900)
Establish the trumpets on the chart 5-6-7, which all Chapel students agree also where the trumps are placed. The 7th trump, being the return of Christ and the Millennium being His reign, followed by the eternity that comes after the Millennium are commonly agreed upon within the Shepherd’s Chapel community.
STEP seven:
With that background established, the only question remaining is WHEN DOES the antichrist arrive with his angels “de facto” to Earth with his angels on the chart? the 5th or 6th trumpet?
6th Trump Arrival
Pastor taught the satan/antichrist arrives at the 6th trump
“And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,” (Revelation 9:11–13, KJV 1900)
step eight:
SATAN ARRIVES IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK/HOUR.
“When ye therefore shall SEE the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,
(whoso readeth, let him understand:)” (Matthew 24:15, KJV 1900)
